About Pet Behavior Associates

My name is Annette Neff and I have owned and operated Pet Behavior Associates since 1985. I have a Bachelor’s degree in education and over 20 years of classroom experience. In 1983 I obtained my Masters’ degree. I have many graduate credits beyond the Masters’ in the areas of education and psychology.

My graduate work at The Ohio  State  University had its emphasis in human and animal learning, animal behavior, and comparative psychology. Upon entering the field, I completed a three-year internship in an animal behavioral clinic under the direction of David Tuber, PhD.

I have been training dogs in the Central Ohio area since 1982. I was the first trainer in the area to offer puppy classes and to train dogs using positive reinforcement. I have earned multiple AKC titles on several different breeds in obedience, rally, conformation, agility, and earthdog. I breed Border Terriers and have raised and trained terriers for many years. I am an AKC Earthdog judge. I am active in Border Terrier rescue. I am currently on the Board of the Border Terrier Club of America (BTCA) and the Treasurer of the Border Terrier Club of Central Ohio (BTCCO).

I have written articles and offer seminars and workshops on dog training and behavior.

As a teacher with many years in the classroom, I bring a unique combination of skills and experience  to the dog training and behavioral consultation field.
